Clear & Safe Omega-3,
engineered for purity & clarity

Zhejiang Norbidar Biomedicine produces food-grade EPA/DHA fish oil concentrates from 65% to 88%
— nearly colorless, physically separated, and free of fishy odor — via our proprietary NBD multi-stage distillation process.

Grade codes denote the nominal EPA and DHA content per gram — for example, 5025 EE supplies 50% EPA and 25% DHA.
All grades are available as ethyl esters (EE), with customizable specifications on request.

Pain points in mid-to-high concentration
(65–85%) food-grade fish oil

Every established route to high concentration trades away either food safety, efficiency or cost.
NBD was engineered to break that trade-off.

Molecular Distillation (MD)

Safe, but typically produces EPA+DHA concentrations of only 30–60% — difficult to reach mid-to-high concentrations.

Urea Inclusion Process

Achieves 60–90% purity but with low efficiency. Urea cannot be used in food production and generates toxic ethyl carbamate.

AgNO₃ Process

Produces mid-to-high concentration products, yet fails to meet food production regulations.

Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE)

High investment and high operating costs.

Rectification

High temperatures and long heating cycles cause cis-trans isomerization, polymerization and coking.

Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC)

High investment and high operating costs.

Preparative Liquid Chromatography (LC)

High investment and high operating costs, and the process uses toxic methanol.

The NBD process

A multi-combined, high-efficiency continuous distillation that reaches mid-to-high concentrations other processes struggle to achieve.

VS

High-efficiency distillation

Multi-combined continuous distillation delivers DHA+EPA up to 70–88% — beyond typical molecular distillation (30–60%).

Full component separation

EPA or DHA can each reach 88%, with the counterpart controlled below 0.1%.

Gentle, food-grade, safe

Physical separation, no urea, no toxic methanol — no ethyl carbamate, no cis-trans isomerization.
